Key Responsibilities Pre-Kitting & Material Preparation
- Read and interpret work orders, bills of materials (BOM), and pick sheets to determine required components.
- Pull exact quantities of raw materials, parts, hardware, or packaging supplies from warehouse storage locations.
- Group, bundle, bag, or package components into labeled kits for specific production orders.
- Use handheld RF scanners, scales, and inventory software to track material movement and confirm kit completeness.
- Stage completed kits at designated assembly stations or drop zones according to the production schedule.
- Perform visual quality checks on all components for damage, defects, or incorrect specifications prior to kitting.
- Immediately report inventory shortages, discrepancies, or damaged stock to line supervisors.
- Apply accurate labels, barcodes, and work order tracking tags to finished kits.
salary: $17 - $19 per hour
