Qualifications and Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC Spring Coilers to manufacture compression, extension, torsion springs, and intricate wire forms. Direct experience with Shinko Coilers is preferred.
- Process Mastery: Complete understanding of all spring-related processing operations, including stress relief, grinding, shot peen, set removal, and secondary finishing.
- Tooling & Engineering: Ability to independently analyze technical requirements, determine optimal manufacturing processes, and select exact tooling for complex parts.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated capacity to lead production workflows, mentor junior staff, and advance into higher-level operational leadership roles.
- Precision Inspection: Competence using precision measuring tools and quality equipment to maintain tight tolerances throughout production runs.

Responsibilities
- Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate a diverse range of CNC Spring and Wire Forming machines (including Shinko Coilers) to manufacture compression, extension, torsion, and wireform components.
- Process Determination: Evaluate drawings and job orders to determine optimal manufacturing methods, tooling setups, and machine parameters required for each part.
- Secondary Operations Management: Oversee and execute all critical post-forming processes, including stress relieving, end grinding, shot peening, set removal, and secondary operations.
- Quality & Tolerance Control: Perform continuous dimensional inspections using precision gauges and testing equipment to ensure full compliance with specifications.
- Tooling & Setup Maintenance: Select, install, fine-tune, and maintain specialized coiling tooling to optimize machine efficiency and part consistency.
- Operational Leadership: Coordinate daily shop floor activities, resolve technical production challenges, and prepare for higher-level operational management responsibilities.
