Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) routines on machinery, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical failures.
- Repair or replace defective components, including motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and belts.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls during production runs to restore operating conditions safely.
- Document maintenance logs, work orders, and parts inventory using computer system software.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and internal safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with production operators and engineering teams to implement machinery upgrades and process optimizations.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- working knowledge of mechanical principles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 3-phase electrical systems (up to 480V).
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and basic shop equipment (welding/fabrication skills a plus).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights (ladders/scaffolding), and stand for extended periods.
