We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist I to join our production team. In this role, you will perform fundamental machining operations and assist with machine setups to manufacture high-precision components that strictly adhere to engineering drawings and quality specifications. • Experience: 3+ years of experience in manual machining or precision manufacturing.
  
  
• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; formal technical/vocational machining training preferred.
  
  
• Technical Skills:
  
  
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and process plans.
    
    
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools.
    
    
  • Working knowledge of machining principles, tool geometry, and speed/feed adjustments.
    
    
• Physical Demands: Ability to regularly stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Safely set up and operate manual machine tools, including engine lathes, vertical/horizontal mills, surface grinders, and related shop equipment.
  
  
• Setup & Alignment: Perform basic setups under supervision. Mount, align, dial in, and secure tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately.
  
  
• Quality & Precision: Inspect and measure finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators) to ensure full compliance with tolerances.
  
  
• Process Optimization: Replace worn cutting tools and adjust spindle speeds and feeds as necessary to maintain part quality.
  
  
• Production Support: Follow shop routers, blueprints, and written process sheets. Perform deburring, edge-breaking, and finishing operations on machined parts.
  
  
• Shop Maintenance & Safety: Keep work areas, tooling, and machinery clean, organized, and properly maintained. Comply with all standard safety practices and procedure manuals.
