Job Description: Assemble details, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies according to instructions. Load and unload contacts, solder shims or paste, and conductors on carbon assembly boats for furnace brazing. Load and unload carbon assembly boats on belt furnace for brazing. In This Function, You Will Receive work assignment from supervisor and/or group leader. Assemble details, sub-assemblies and final assemblies using hand tools, bench, and power tools. Perform simple electrical and mechanical tests such as ground test, dielectric test. Make up cartons, pack and stamp or label. Perform soldering, cut insulation to size, cut off strip and assemble leads, cut loop and form wires, cut solder shims and wash material with solvent. Perform detailing operations as instructed. Operate riveter, squeezer, drill press, spinners, tappers, belt sanders and bench grinder. Load and unload automatic and semi-automatic equipment. Check for defective work. Report defective work and equipment. Load and unload contacts, solder shims or paste, and conductor into carbon assembly boats and place on furnace belt for brazing. Move material as required.
