Job Description: Production & Manufacturing Assembler (2nd & 3rd Shift) Company: OPmobility (via Randstad) Location: New Boston, MI Status: Temporary-to-Hire (95-Day Conversion) Environment: Fast-Paced Tier-1 Automotive (UAW Facility) Job Summary Randstad, the largest staffing firm in the world, is partnering with OPmobility to find dedicated Production Assemblers for their New Boston, MI facility. This is a premier Tier-1 automotive supplier specializing in blow-molded fuel systems. We are currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts with positions starting as early as next week! This is a perfect chance for a long-term career; after 95 days worked, you are eligible for hire-in to a facility with an updated UAW contract. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Production: Operate automated and semi-automated equipment to assemble blow-molded fuel systems within required cycle times. Technical Operations: Remove flash from molded tanks, place tanks into post-mold cooling fixtures, and perform basic troubleshooting (clearing jams/resetting faults). Quality & Data: Perform visual inspections for defects, weigh tanks, and record production data via computer systems. Compliance: Work in accordance with Standard Work Instructions and Quality Alerts; record and report any equipment malfunctions or abnormal product quality. Maintenance: Perform first-level preventative maintenance (checking fluid levels/gauges) and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workspace. Safety Authority: Responsibility to stop production if a safety or quality issue arises. Requirements & Physical Demands Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs on a frequent basis. Activity: Position requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing. Environment: Ability to work under high temperatures at certain times. Flexibility: Works within the operator classification on all production lines and stations for job rotations.
