Randstad Healthcare is hiring for a Certified Medical Assistant at a reputable facility in Austin, TX.
Provides front & back office assistance to the Nurse Practitioner in the preparation for and examination/treatment of patients.
Prepares patient to be seen by the provider by obtaining patient history, taking vital signs, and assisting with coordination of care.
Handles patient flow. Prepares exam room, cleans and sterilizes instruments per protocol, performs point of care tests as ordered, administers medications as ordered, reviews preprinted instruction sheets with patients, and other medical duties as assigned.
Experience and Requirements:
Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
Completion of Medical Assistant program + at least 2 years experience in family practice or urgent care setting
Reception & general office experience required
BCLS/CPR certification.
Excellent customer service, patient intake - vitals, injections, lab tests, use of EMR, & MS Outlook
Top 3 non-negotiable skills: customer service, lab experience and attention to detail
Contract to start with long term potential
Schedule:
M, TH, F 8:30 - 5 / T, W 7:30 - 4
Training Schedule: M-F 8-5 for the 1st week
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
