Top Healthcare company is hiring for a Trauma Registrar to work Remote!
Key Responsibilities:
Identify trauma patients for inclusion in the Trauma Registry.
Abstract trauma patient data using TraumaBase.
Assign ICD-10 and AIS codes.
Calculate Injury Severity Scores (ISS).
Maintain trauma registry quality and data integrity.
Validate registry data and resolve edits.
Support NTDB, TQIP, NORTR, and state reporting requirements.
Identify and document Performance Improvement (PI) opportunities.
Generate reports for Trauma Committee and leadership.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience:
3-5+ years of Trauma Registry experience
Direct TraumaBase experience (Required)
2+ years of AIS coding within a Trauma Registry
ICD-10 coding experience
ISS calculation experience
Trauma abstraction and registry maintenance
Ability to work independently with minimal training
Certifications (Preferred):
CSTR
RHIT
CCS
AIS Certification
Contract to start with extenstions possible!
