Telehealth RN - Oncology/Hematology
**Location:** Hybrid (Must reside in The Woodlands area)
**Schedule:** Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM CT
**Position Type:** 26 week Contract with potential for full-time conversion
Position Overview
Top national leading healthcare company is seeking an experienced **Telehealth Registered Nurse (RN)** with a strong oncology/hematology background to provide remote clinical support, care coordination, and patient education. In this role, you will assess patient needs, coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, provide evidence-based education, and help ensure patients receive timely, compassionate care throughout their cancer treatment journey.
This is a hybrid position; candidates **must reside in the Greater Houston area** and be available to attend onsite onboarding, training, and occasional meetings in **The Woodlands, TX**.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
Candidates must meet **all** of the following requirements:
* Active, unrestricted Texas Multistate RN license or another active Compact State RN license (additional state licenses may be required)
* Minimum of 3 years of clinical RN experience
* At least 2 recent years of dedicated Hematology/Oncology nursing experience in one of the following settings:
* Outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice
* Hospital Oncology unit
* Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification, or willingness to obtain certification within one year
* Must reside within the **Greater Houston, TX area**
* Ability to travel to **The Woodlands, TX** for required training and onsite meetings
* Reliable high-speed internet connection
* HIPAA-compliant private home workspace
Key Responsibilities
* Provide telehealth nursing support for oncology and hematology patients throughout the continuum of care.
* Conduct comprehensive telephonic patient assessments and evaluate clinical needs.
* Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure timely, appropriate interventions.
* Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, symptom management, medications, and potential side effects.
* Identify clinical, financial, psychosocial, and logistical barriers to care and connect patients with appropriate resources.
* Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system and accessing supportive services.
* Document all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly within the electronic health record (EHR).
* Utilize multiple technology platforms to deliver efficient, high-quality remote patient care.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of oncology nursing best practices.
* Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while adhering to organizational policies, nursing standards, and state scope of practice requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
* Previous telehealth, remote patient care, care coordination, or telephonic nursing experience
* Experience working within oncology navigation or specialty care programs
