Key Responsibilities & Skills
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of a new core platform in consumer banking.
- Drive the adoption of event-driven architecture, microservices, and real-time processing.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the development team, enforcing coding standards and DevOps practices.
- Design and develop integration patterns, APIs, and services for platform communication.
- Collaborate with vendors like FIS to understand platform capabilities and event models.
- Translate business use cases into scalable, secure, and performant technical designs.
- Required experience includes Java 11+, Spring Boot, RESTful services, Confluent Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and API Gateway & Mediation.
- Deep understanding of consumer banking products and processes, especially Deposits.
- Experience with core banking systems such as FIS Modern Banking, FIS Systematics, Temenos, or similar.
- Experience leading core banking modernization or migration projects.

Required Qualifications
- Experience: 15+ years of software engineering experience in banking, with at least 5+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Technology: 10+ years with Java 11+ and Spring Boot; 3+ years with Confluent Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Domain: 5+ years working on core banking systems.
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, excellent communication, and strong stakeholder management skills.
skills: Preferrred Qualifications
- Experience in a leadership role on a large-scale core banking transformation program.
- Knowledge of security best practices, authentication, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with vendor SaaS platforms, data migration tooling, and cutover strategie
