JOB DESCRIPTION: This sub family is responsible for supporting and assisting in documentation production of presentations using various software as well as managing the identification, control, production, distribution, archiving, scanning, storage, and retrieval of all deliverable data. Duties may include cataloging data, providing customer assistance in locating specific data, digital imaging services, technical/reference support, and appropriately classifying records, documents, and other information media. Impact: Works to achieve day to day objectives consisting of tasks that are very routine, or well-defined, with specific instructions. Work is closely supervised. Complexity: Resolves routine problems and issues with clearly prescribed solutions. Follows a well-established and familiar set of activities and/or processes to derive a solution. Communication: Communicates with peers to obtain or provide information requiring little explanation or interpretation. Leadership & Talent Management/Knowledge: Has moderate understanding of job requirements. Typical Education & Experience: Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent and less than 1 year of prior relevant experience. No Security clearance needed.

responsibilities:
Tasks supporting the primary need to eliminate a physical project library follow.
- Scan PDFs of selected hardcopy library documents ranging from a single page to hundreds of pages (includes scanning single- and double-sided originals as well as mixed-size originals), review scanned PDFs for quality/completeness and rotate pages in Adobe Acrobat if needed, use the OCR Scan feature to create searchable PDFs, name/save PDFs with a naming convention, then recycle the original hardcopies.
- Disassemble and recycle hardcopy documents identified for elimination from a project library (i.e., remove comb binding spines, remove covers/spine labels/tabs/pages from 3-ring binders, recycle/trash materials as appropriate).
If time allows, support may be requested with additional tasks such as the following to prepare for an office relocation.
- Remove binder clips/staples from hardcopy records materials accumulated over a period of years and securely recycle all paper.
- Scan PDFs of additional office materials identified for records retention.
- Prepare additional documentation identified for recycling (i.e., remove bindings that cannot be recycled) and place paper in recycle bins.
- Assist with organization of hardcopy documentation prior to an upcoming office relocation.
