Our manufacturing based client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Programming Engineer to join their CNC Programming Department. In this critical multi-skilled role, you will be instrumental in developing, optimizing, and maintaining the numerical control programs that drive our cutting-edge NC/CNC machinery.
You'll play a vital part in ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality in our manufacturing processes, collaborating closely with the Director of Manufacturing Engineering and/or the Manager of NC Programming.

responsibilities:
- Develop and refine numerical control programs for NC/CNC tools, carefully selecting cutting tools and optimizing parameters like speeds, feeds, and control system limitations.
- Create and evolve holding fixtures essential for manufacturing processes.
- Continuously evaluate and fine-tune CNC programs to guarantee accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software, with a strong preference for Catia V5, to translate 2D designs into detailed 3D models.
- Generate precise CAD drawings and product structures that accurately reflect and communicate customer requirements.
- Solve complex technical challenges by applying your knowledge and analytical abilities.
- Communicate effectively with team members across all shifts to ensure seamless operations.
qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on NC Programming experience.
- At least 5 years of experience running 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines.
- Proficiency in Catia V5 is essential, alongside strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with an ERP system (familiarity with Vantage by Epicor is a plus).
- Understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 is highly beneficial.

This role involves a blend of office work and time spent on the shop floor. The position may be exposed to typical manufacturing environmental conditions such as noise, vibration, and proximity to moving mechanical parts. The ability to use hands for tools and controls, perform tasks requiring close visual acuity (e.g., viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, inspecting small defects), and occasionally stand, walk, or reach is required.
