JOB DESCRIPTION: Conducts analysis of transition planning, intelligence information requirements, and may develop architecture baselines. Assists with and leads development of integration, migration plans/schedules. May support ISR and C4ISR programs/clients. - Proof of Concept of Aspentech Switch Order Management (SOM) basics functions and utility distribution switch order business processes.
- Provide scope/ requirements documentation to complete implementation and configuration of SOM product.
- Configure and customize Aspentech Switch Order Management (SOM) to meet business requirements, including:
- Defining and managing different switch types to support operational needs.
- Setting up and maintaining different request types for switch order processes.
- Designing and optimizing Switch Order & Request workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Customizing the layout of Switch Orders for user-friendly interfaces and operational clarity.
- Configuring individual step grids and rules to enforce business logic and process requirements.
- Configuring between the SOM and Outage Management System (OMS) modules
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SOM configurations and also inter-product configurations between SOM and AspenTech's Outage Management System (OMS) product.
- Building SOM interfaces leveraging WebMethods or APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Provide documentation on SOM related data mapping, configurations, testing and best practices.
- Support testing and validation of configurations during system updates or enhancements.

- Prior experience in the utility industry with AspenTech products.
- Formal training in the AspenTech SOM and ADMS/OMS products for utility industry.
- Familiarity with related Aspentech tools or other switch order management systems.
- Familiarity with AspenTech's Outage Management Systems (OMS) or other outage management systems.
- Knowledge of integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, SCADA, or CRM).

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of IT analyst experience
- 3 years of switch operations IT projects in utility distribution.
- Proven expertise in business-side configuration of Aspentech SOM, with hands-on experience in:
- Configuring various switch types and request types.
- Building and optimizing Switch Order & Request workflows.
- Designing Switch Order layouts for operational efficiency.
- Setting up individual step grids and rules to enforce business processes.
- Strong understanding of switch order management processes in utility distribution.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with system testing, documentation (including scope, business process, test cases, etc...)
