Project Manager, Audit Support (Banking)
Summary: As a Project Manager with Audit Support, you will be a key leader responsible for managing and executing a diverse portfolio of projects within our banking institution. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all project activities, deliverables, and outcomes align with our internal audit policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You will act as a central point of contact, coordinating between project teams, business stakeholders, and the internal and external audit functions to facilitate a seamless and compliant project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead all phases of project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. This includes defining project scope, creating detailed work plans, setting deadlines, and managing project resources and budgets.
- Audit and Compliance: Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation, data, and explanations for project-related inquiries. Ensure that all project activities and deliverables are designed and executed with a strong focus on internal controls and compliance.
- Risk and Control Management: Identify potential risks and control gaps within projects, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure compliance and project success. You'll be responsible for documenting and tracking all project-related audit findings and working with business owners to ensure timely remediation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including senior leadership, project teams, and auditors. You will provide regular status updates and detailed reports on project progress, risks, and audit readiness.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve project management methodologies and audit support processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring projects are delivered in a consistent and compliant manner.

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on financial services or banking.
- Proven experience supporting internal and external audits, including providing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations and control frameworks (e.g., SOX, BASEL, etc.).
- Excellent project management skills, including proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
