Key Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for a diverse portfolio of 20+ finance applications within a complex enterprise environment.
- Perform strong troubleshooting of issues across various platforms, including Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Utilize Autosys for job scheduling and monitoring.
- Execute and analyze database queries in Oracle and MSSQL to resolve application issues.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, business support teams, middleware teams, server teams, database teams, and vendor teams to efficiently resolve complex issues.
- Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual tasks using shell scripting or other automation tools to reduce toil and improve team efficiency.
- Participate in a panel interview process with peers, with a final interview conducted by the hiring manager if needed.
qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated strong experience in production support within a large enterprise, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Expert-level troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong experience with Autosys.
- Solid understanding of database concepts and the ability to write and execute queries in Oracle and/or MSSQL.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team player and collaborate with various stakeholders across different technical and business functions.
- Experience with automation using scripting (e.g., shell scripts) or other automation tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to ask questions and engage with a large group of stakeholders during issue resolution calls.
- Previous experience working with finance-specific applications (e.g., trading, capital markets, liquidity).
- A strong understanding of the financial domain and banking technology.
