responsibilities:
A typical day involves managing existing contracts - reviewing invoices for compliance, following up with vendors on reports or services, and troubleshooting any issues. You'd also handle new agreements, facilitating legal review and communication with department owners. This role demands strong organization and communication, as you'll be the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and ensuring all contractual obligations are met. You'll spend time tracking contracts in Excel and preparing reports.
qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field.
- No specific certifications required.
- No specific degree required; life or work experience is valued.
- Experience with state or local government contracts (especially NC) is a plus.
- Prior paralegal experience is a plus.
