responsibilities:
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining applications built with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL, Python, and Linux
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, and container orchestration (EKS/ECS)
- Experience with Kafka Listener for event-driven architecture and message stream processing
qualifications:
Skills:
1) L1/L2 Java application support
2) Good understanding of Java-based API's (ability to break fix and maintain small bits of Java code)
3) Understanding of event-driven architecture
4) Linux shell scripting
5) Experience supporting cloud-hosted apps, preferably AWS
6) Exposure to any queuing service (Kafka, SQS, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, etc.)
7) SQL - ability write and execute queries
8) Logging skills with tools like Splunk and Datadog
skills:
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
- Terraform experience preferred, CloudFormation Templates
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional incident response and postmortem reviews
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive operational best practices across teams
- Proficient in Agile methodologies and DevOps principles
