responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end definition, analysis, and management of system-level requirements for complex wireless communication systems, ensuring alignment across hardware, software, and test teams.
- Drive solution alignment by collaborating with product management, program management, and engineering to balance technical feasibility with business value and customer priorities.
- Champion a culture of technical agility and innovation, conducting rapid feasibility studies and identifying and mitigating technical risks in early-phase product development.
- Support business growth by identifying and developing compelling technical proposals for funded R&D opportunities (e.g., SBIR, BAA) that align with the company's strategic vision.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of open collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key technical representative in customer meetings and reviews, communicating complex concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

qualifications:
Required (Must-Haves):
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, holding no dual citizenships.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering or multidisciplinary product development.
- Proven experience leading system-level requirements definition, architecture development, and cross-functional integration for complex products.
- Deep, foundational knowledge of wireless mesh and ad hoc networking principles.
- A strong, integrated background in systems involving both hardware and software, with a strong preference for experience in RF technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and coordinate across hardware, software, test, and program management teams.
skills: Preferred (Nice-to-Haves):
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with government R&D solicitations (e.g., SBIR, BAA) and proposal writing.
- Experience presenting complex technical concepts to customers or stakeholders in formal reviews or demonstrations.
