The Intern, GCDO Business & Technology Capabilities will aid in the design, development, production, delivery, and support of digital systems/technologies primarily supporting Global Clinical Development Operations as well as other functions in R&D. The Intern, GCDO Business & Technology Capabilities will work with the immediate team and other stakeholders who utilize supporting technology solutions. Essential Functions - Assist in the design, development, production and delivery of Global Clinical Development Operations (GCDO) digital systems in order to achieve operational excellence, optimize data quality and realize efficiencies wherever possible - Work on the delivery of digital systems and Analytics/Reporting on behalf of GCDO - Aid in the completion of required system reviews - Understand data flow within GCDO and how it affects other areas of the business - Assist the Study Success Lead in system mapping activities within GCDO's primary reporting and analytics applications - Aid in the development of Work Instruction and Standard Operating Procedure documentation - Work with partner vendors and solution providers, as needed, in relation to system knowledge sharing and utilization - Assist in project planning activities and study timelines as it relates to reporting and analytics systems - Maintain a sound familiarity with Jazz's systems and related processes, with a primary focus in R&D - Identify improvement opportunities related to digital systems and assists with developing enhancement plans and roadmaps - Work on cross-functional projects and initiatives representing GCDO Business & Technology Capabilities - Aid in the development of presentation and training materials to support GCDO initiatives Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - IT-literate and passionate towards new technology and digital systems - Familiarity with analytics platforms and programming capabilities such as Tableau, Elluminate, Spotfire, SQL, SAS, R, Python, etc - Ability to learn and pick up new processes quickly - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills - Ability to effectively interface with internal and cross functional team members - Flexible approach with respect to work assignments and new learning - Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and to demonstrate teamwork within the group, as well as across the organization - Excellent ability to think and work globally and to be culturally aware Required/Preferred Education and Licenses - A minimum of a BA/BS, preferably in the scientific/healthcare and/or technology field
