The Medical Information Systems & Operations Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, and day-to-day management of systems, tools, and processes that support Medical Information operations. This role oversees the implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of Medical Information platforms, ensuring compliant execution in line with company standards, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The position serves as a key liaison across IT, Compliance, Quality, and Medical Affairs, while driving innovation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation across global Medical Information activities.

responsibilities:
Systems, Tools, Process & Governance
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, optimization, customization, and continuous improvement of Medical Information systems and tools, including:
- Medical inquiry/request management systems
- Reference and document management systems
- Learning management systems
- Dashboards, reporting, and analytics tools
- Internal intranet sites and external-facing Medical Information webpages
- Own governance processes to ensure compliant execution of Medical Information activities in accordance with internal standards, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Manage the full lifecycle of Medical Information content across internal and external platforms, including posting, updating, and retiring content in line with governance and compliance requirements.
- Oversee reporting and analytics deliverables, including development, maintenance, quality control, and distribution of standard and ad hoc reports to internal stakeholders.
- Manage copyright and permissions for external content used in Medical Information activities, including securing permissions, coordinating payments, and maintaining inspection-ready documentation.
- Ensure systems and processes adhere to data privacy regulations and Medical Information safe harbor requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Medical Information systems operations and governance.
- Anticipate future system and process needs, translating business and user requirements into actionable enhancements and technology solutions.
- Drive innovation and support digital transformation initiatives to improve scalability, efficiency, and user experience.
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (IT, Compliance, Quality, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations) to align requirements and enable seamless system integration.
- Manage external vendors supporting Medical Information systems and tools, ensuring delivery against defined scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams to execute operational deliverables and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Maintain and continuously improve training materials and knowledge resources for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Deliver system training and ongoing education to promote consistent, compliant, and effective use of Medical Information tools and processes.

Strong presentation skills and executive-level communication capabilities.
Preferred / Nice to Have
Experience with Salesforce-based Medical Inquiry Management systems.
Familiarity with Veeva Vault (MedComms, PromoMats, Quality).
Experience with EndNote, Power BI, Pimcore or other web publishing tools, CRM platforms, and SharePoint.
Working knowledge of GxP validation terminology.
Experience supporting global or multi-geography Medical Information operations.
