Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain EPCM models: Configure and optimize existing cost and revenue allocation models, drivers, POVs, and calculation logic to deliver transparent, auditable profitability insights across lines of business, products, and customers.
Implement allocation logic & rules: Author and tune allocation rules, calculation scripts, and model views to balance accuracy and performance; instrument traceability and reconciliation.
Production support: Triage and resolve incidents, defects, and data issues; harden jobs with monitoring, logging, and alerting; contribute to root cause analysis and preventive improvements.
Extend EPBCS (Projects focus): Configure the Projects module (drivers, forms, smart lists, mappings), support actuals/forecast integrations, and enable project-level planning and reporting.
Metadata & governance: Partner with EDMCS/metadata owners to manage dimensions, hierarchies, and mappings across EPCM/EPBCS; ensure consistent conformance and versioning.
Performance & reliability: Profile models, optimize calculation ordering, caching, and data slices to maximize performance. Resolve performance bottlenecks in large allocations and plan types.
Business partnership: Collaborate with Finance and FP&A stakeholders to translate cost methodologies, drivers, and planning processes into scalable technical designs; provide guidance on best practices and trade offs.
Agile delivery: Contribute to backlog refinement, story pointing, sprint planning, and review; write clear technical requirements based on business inputs, acceptance criteria, and maintain documentation.
Qualifications
Hands on Oracle EPCM expertise (robust): 3+ years configuring EPCM models, allocation rules, POVs, cost objects, and driver based methodologies; proven experience optimizing complex allocations.
Oracle EPBCS proficiency (intermediate): 2+ years with EPBCS (forms, rules, Data Management, security); ability to contribute across at least one planning module and learn others.
Projects module exposure: Experience supporting or implementing the EPBCS Projects module (or equivalent project planning solutions) including actuals integration and driver setup.
Integration skills: Practical experience with EPM Data Management, flat file/API based interfaces; comfort working with mappings, drill through, and reconciliation.
Calc & scripting: Working knowledge of business rule design (Calc Manager/Rules), groovy based rules or equivalent scripting to parameterize and harden calculations.
Data & modeling mindset: Robust grasp of dimensional modeling for EPM (Accounts, Entities/Departments, Product/LOB, Projects, Scenarios, Versions, Periods) and allocation/profitability concepts.
SDLC & Agile: Experience delivering in Agile teams (two or three week sprints), with version control, code reviews, CI/CD for EPM assets, and production change controls.
Communication & partnering: Ability to translate finance concepts into technical designs and clearly explain results, variances, and model behavior to non technical partners. Nice to have (Preferred)
