responsibilities:
Travel Monday through Friday across a designated 200 to 300-mile regional territory centered in Illinois to deploy, configure, and maintain local systems infrastructure.
Perform on-site system-level troubleshooting, network configuration, and hardware deployment at various customer and facility locations.
Diagnose and resolve complex local area network (LAN) and hardware connectivity issues, ensuring high systems availability and minimal operational disruption.
Coordinate directly with regional project managers and internal support teams to execute net-new infrastructure rollouts and hardware refreshes.
Manage personal travel schedules and on-site client interactions with a high degree of professionalism and technical competence.
Return home every weekend, maintaining a reliable balance between field deployment objectives and personal time.
qualifications:
Must-Haves
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder).
2-3 years of professional experience working as a Field Technician, Systems Specialist, or Network Support Engineer.
Practical knowledge of network routing, switching, and hardware troubleshooting protocols.
Ability to commit to a Monday-through-Friday regional travel schedule across Illinois and surrounding sectors (returning home for weekends).
Ability to commute to Peoria, IL for the final phase of the interview process and occasional on-site alignment.
Nice-to-Haves
Technical certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA.
Prior experience managing multi-site field service routes independently.
