responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and maintain highly scalable microservices and APIs (REST, GraphQL, event-driven) that drive high-throughput digital content ingestion and distribution.
- Build and scale fault-tolerant backend systems capable of processing low-latency data feeds during massive, live-audience streaming events.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with client-side mobile application teams, product managers, and infrastructure groups to establish robust API contracts and system boundaries.
- Design robust data models, database schemas, and caching layers to guarantee efficient data retrieval and lightning-fast query execution.
- Embed monitoring, telemetry, tracing, and automated alerting directly into services to ensure maximum visibility, reliability, and platform uptime.
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents, perform thorough root-cause analysis, and continuously optimize application performance, cost efficiency, and security.
- Drive engineering excellence by developing shared automated deployment frameworks, custom internal developer tools, and continuous integration pipelines.
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a strictly equivalent technical field of study.
5+ years of verified professional experience specializing in backend or platform software engineering (excluding academic internships).
Strong, production-level proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Java, Go, Kotlin, Scala, Python, or Node.js.
Practical experience designing and deploying services within major cloud infrastructure providers (such as AWS) using infrastructure as code tooling.
Proven track record building high-performance APIs (HTTP, gRPC, or WebSockets) with mature error-handling, versioning, and pagination strategies.
Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL environments (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis), including schema optimization and advanced indexing.
Background with message brokers and distributed event streaming frameworks like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Kinesis.
