responsibilities:
- Kick off your day by participating in Agile sprint planning, aligning with product management and software engineering teams on key analytical requirements.
- Dive into massive volumes of time-series data generated by remote IoT devices, conducting exploratory analysis to uncover hidden trends and patterns.
- Architect and train machine learning models focused on predictive maintenance, anomaly identification, and resource consumption forecasting.
- Build robust data processing pipelines and perform advanced feature engineering utilizing Python, SQL, and modern distributed computing frameworks.
- Partner with development teams to seamlessly integrate your validated machine learning models into a production-level enterprise platform.
- Monitor the health, accuracy, and efficiency of deployed machine learning systems, ensuring continuous validation and quality control.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable visualizations and reports for cross-functional stakeholders.
qualifications:
Must-Haves
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).
A proven track record of stable, multi-year tenures in full-time, direct-hire roles (candidates with primarily short-term contract backgrounds will not be considered).
A highly hands-on background with a strict focus on building, coding, and direct technical contribution rather than pure management or high-level architecture.
3 or more years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
3 or more years of hands-on programming experience with Python and its core data science libraries (including pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn).
Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
Nice-to-Haves
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services (SageMaker, Lambda, S3, Redshift).
Background in analyzing IoT data, utility operations, or specialized time-series forecasting.
Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks like PySpark.
Experience leveraging deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Prior success deploying machine learning models directly into live production environments.
