A large utilities company located in Uptown Charlotte, NC is seeking an Administrative Specialist to full-fill the following responsibilities:

- coordinate administrative functions for Duke Energy leadership positions and their direct reports.
- timekeeper role, scheduling meetings, managing onboarding processes for the team, processing purchase orders and invoices, developing charts and graphs, preparing non-technical reports, answering phones, filing in both manual and electronic systems, making and scheduling travel arrangements, completing expense reports, composing correspondence which could include development of professional communication.
- worker onboarding and providing support to project teams with meals and event coordination.
- Position will also provide floor support which includes, stocking and ordering supplies, managing office equipment, and be the point of contact for facility related needs.

Working hours: M-F 8-5

Skills:
Required:
--Working experience in an office environment or equivalent education experience
--Proven organizational skills, demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects with minimal supervision while completing work assignments efficiently and accurately
--Demonstrated proficiency in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Office and accessing information from the internet
--Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of employees as well as managers, executives, executive assistants and outside customers in a professional manner
--Demonstrated effective communication skills (oral and written), and the ability to speak in a clear, concise effective and organized manner using correct grammar and proper telephone etiquette
--Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity
--Ability to utilize Microsoft Office calendaring software to effectively schedule and maintain calendar entries and meeting schedules
--Ability to learn various office systems quickly and to seek information from published job aids, help desks, and tutorials.

Desired:
--Ability to perform data entry in a variety of application software and ensure accuracy of data
--Experience managing onboarding processes
--Experience with Maximo for PO and Invoice processing
