The Accounts Receivable Manager leads the credit-to-cash cycle, ensuring the company maintains a healthy cash flow through efficient invoicing and diligent collections. This role focuses on optimizing DSO, managing the AR team, and balancing firm credit enforcement with positive customer relationships. An Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is the guardian of a company’s cash flow. It’s a role that requires a unique blend of "numbers person" precision and "people person" diplomacy—you have to ensure the bills get paid without alienating the customers who pay them.salary: $35 - $40 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesStrategic Oversight & Reporting Cash Flow Forecasting: Provide leadership with accurate projections of incoming cash. KPI Management: Track and report on metrics such as DSO, Collection Effectiveness Index (CEI), and aging buckets. Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits regarding receivables and revenue recognition. Credit & Collections Credit Policy: Establish and maintain the company’s credit policy; approve or deny credit limits for new and existing customers. Escalation Management: Handle high-level disputes and negotiate payment plans for delinquent accounts. Bad Debt Management: Identify accounts for third-party collections or legal action and manage the allowance for doubtful accounts. Operational Excellence Invoicing & Billing: Ensure all invoices are generated accurately and sent out on schedule. Cash Application: Oversee the daily reconciliation of payments (ACH, wire, checks) to ensure the general ledger is accurate. Process Improvement: Streamline workflows through automation (e.g., implementing ERP enhancements or AI-driven collection tools). Team Leadership Mentorship: Supervise a team of AR specialists/clerks, providing training and performance reviews.
