Key Responsibilities As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mobility tax, you will partner closely with finance, payroll, and HR teams to ensure compliance and a seamless experience for our assignees.Technical Advisory & Strategy Consultation: Serve as the first point of contact for HR partners and assignees regarding cost estimates, assignment planning, and tax inquiries. Policy Oversight: Manage mobility tax programs, escalate policy issues, and conduct periodic benchmarking. Remote Work Guidance: Provide expert individual tax guidance for cross-border remote work requests. Compliance Monitoring: Track changes in global tax laws and determine their impact on tax equalization costs and processes. Process Management & Reporting Oversee tax equalization collections, payments, and shadow payroll arrangements. Manage end-to-end invoice and gross-up processes for global and domestic mobility. Review secondment and social security agreements. Analyze annual equity vesting for the mobile population and coordinate annual compensation adjustments. Vendor & Technology Partnership Manage relationships with external tax providers to ensure "aiming-higher" service standards. Review vendor hypothetical tax tables, tax model assumptions, and out-of-scope fees.
