We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist to join our Finance team on a six-month contract basis. This role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, particularly during a high-volume period or special project. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in bookkeeping, excellent communication skills, and the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.salary: $24 - $26 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable (AP) Process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding to the General Ledger and proper three-way matching (invoice, purchase order, receiving report). Schedule and prepare weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires) to vendors, ensuring payments are timely and accurately recorded. Resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries promptly and professionally. Manage and reconcile vendor statements monthly to ensure all liabilities are captured. Assist with the annual preparation of 1099 forms. Process and audit employee expense reports and company credit card statements. Accounts Receivable (AR) Generate, review, and distribute accurate customer invoices for chemicals and services, ensuring compliance with sales terms. Process and apply incoming cash receipts, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers to the correct customer accounts, resolving unapplied cash promptly. Manage the Accounts Receivable aging report, performing professional collections outreach on past-due accounts via phone and email to maintain a healthy cash flow. Research and resolve customer billing discrepancies and deductions in collaboration with the Sales and Operations teams.
