The chosen candidate must be a sponge to soak in the current processes, take good notes, learn, evolve, recommend process improvements, and take on additional challenges/accountabilities as the company expands to other sites in the United States. This may evolve into a long-term home for the chosen talent who immerses themselves in the company and makes a positive impact!salary: $28 - $32 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesSupport and partner with the site's Accounting Supervisor-providing your accounts receivable, accounting, analytical, and data analytics skills as the company continues the transformation to shared service hubs across the US. The company is in growth and process improvement mode due to being purchased by a Private Equity Firm a few years back Utilize your exceptional Excel skills, system skills, and accounting software skills daily Review and process a high volume of vendor invoices Maintain the proper approvals of invoices to initiate payment Prepare payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer Maintain and keep up-to-date information on vendor accounts Generate accounts receivable invoices Record and post cash payments Connect with commercial clientele on past-due invoices Conduct credit checks, monitor credit limits, and update client portfolio system records with the most recent info Support month-end activity Prepare adjusting journal entries and accruals Prepare bank and general account reconciliations Review fixed assets and make sure depreciation is accounted for Identify areas of process improvement and work closely with the Lead Accountant to implement those changes Evolve and take on additional accounting responsibilities as the position evolves from a 2 plant operation to a multi-national plant operation May have the opportunity to dive into Cost Accounting and work on special projects for the PE Firm Support external audit Support tax preparation processes SkillsExcel Pivot Tables (2 years of experience is required)Accounting Coursework (2 years of experience is required)Accounts Receivable (2 years of experience is required)Accounts PayableGAAPReconciliationInventory ManagementCost AccountingEntrepreneurial SpiritChangement ManagementGrowth MentalityAccounting Software SystemsOnsite 100 percent of the timeAccountabilityOrganizational SkillsProcess ImprovementFixed AssetsAccount ReconciliationBank ReconciliationsJournal EntriesGeneral LedgerGeneral Accounting and Finance SkillsMonth-End CloseGreat PlainsQualificationsYears of experience: 2 yearsExperience level: Entry LevelRandstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
