Technical Skills Storage Area Network (SAN):Proven experience (2+ years) provisioning, implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and performance tuning storage arrays from HPE including:3PARPrimeraNimbleMSAStoreOnceSAN Switches (Brocade)Should be proficient in design, configuration, administration, tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting for these HPE storage arrays and Brocade SAN Switch.Fibre Channel (FC) SAN:Proficient in FC zoning using Brocade SAN Navigator in a Brocade FC switch environment.Must know about Brocade FC switch design, configuration, and administration.Storage Management:Experience performing storage capacity and performance reporting using SSMC System Reporter.Can use reports to calculate storage usage trends for capacity planning.Experience monitoring, escalating, and remediating SAN device/application performance alerts to identify potential incidents.Backup and Recovery:Proficient in configuring, monitoring, administering, and maintaining backup environments.Ability to ensure backups run successfully and on schedule.Have a extensive understanding of backup reports to identify and troubleshoot backup issues.Microsoft File Servers:Proficiency in Microsoft file server technology, including DFS, patch management, and file restores using shadow copy.General IT Skills:Have familiarity with operating system patching procedures for SAN devices, FC switches, and backup devices. II. Other Skills Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams (Project, Production) and vendors.Problem-solving: extensive analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve storage-related issues.Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate documentation.Business Continuity and DR: Experience contributing to business continuity planning and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
