We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Import Coordinator to manage the end-to-end importation process of goods and ensure smooth logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have communication skills and a proven ability to maintain compliance with international shipping regulations. Responsibilities: Oversee the importation of high-quality textiles and allocate stocked US products. Manage production from trim development to shipping, including purchase order creation and aesthetic approval for various accounts. Coordinate warehouse operations, ensuring timely fit, PP, and TOP samples, and coordinating projects. Communicate with international and domestic suppliers regarding delivery follow-ups. Ensure full compliance with international shipping regulations and track global assets to ensure customs compliance. Maintain detailed compliance documentation and generate clear import/export reports. Oversee secure packaging and processing for shipments, tracking luxury inventory, and updating information daily in company software. Maintain factory "work in progress" (WIP) reports weekly. Focus on consistency of fabric wash/color, slub, hand feel, stretchability, and recovery. Review inspection reports pre-shipping to determine solutions for issues. Approve shipment bookings to the Imports Department. Review factory packing lists pre-shipping to track shortages and multiple shipments. Monitor holds and clears for all goods. Lead process improvements in inventory tracking, shipment accuracy, and team productivity, resolving issues and optimizing workflows. Handle customer inquiries and provide quotations. Communicate regularly with customer service representatives, sales teams, and clients to provide shipment updates and resolve issues. Negotiate best pricing and delivery modes with label suppliers and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers. Partner with Production Manager, Sales team, Design, and Technical Designers. Delegate tasks to ensure productivity and safety.
