job summary: Growing manufacturer in Oklahoma City is seeking a strategic and experienced Quality Manager to lead their Quality Management System (QMS). Moving beyond traditional inspection, this role champions a proactive culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement across all operations while developing team members through dedicated coaching and hands-on leadership. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma job type: Permanent salary: $100,000 - 120,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Coach, mentor, and train quality inspectors, machinists, and welders on SPC, inspection methodologies, and quality tools.Champion a safe work environment by leading safety talks, participating in audits, and reinforcing safe work practices.Drive operational excellence using Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and structured root-cause analysis to resolve quality issues.Serve as the Quality Administrator for ISO 9001:2015; lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS.Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT); oversee dimensional, visual, and functional inspectionsPartner with sales, engineering and manufacturing to resolve complex quality issues and enhance customer satisfaction.Ensure machining (CNC) and welding operations meet strict standards; maintain oversight of calibration systems and quality instrumentation.Lead vendor audits and support supply chain quality activities to ensure material compliance.Track and report monthly key quality metrics, including rework costs and customer complaints (RMAs), to management with clear recommendations for improvement.
