job summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join a long-standing, well-established manufacturing company headquartered in Las Vegas by the airport. This role will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Supervisor will lead a team of four and play a key role in driving accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across the accounting function. location: Las Vegas, Nevada job type: Permanent salary: $85,000 - 100,000 per year work hours: 8 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 4 Years responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets. Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations; assist with audit and tax documentation. Supervise daily operations of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Ensure accurate reconciliation and processing of insurance-related invoices Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations. Support the budgeting process and development of financial forecasts. Track and analyze expenditures, identifying areas for potential cost savings. Provide meaningful financial insights to support planning and decision-making. Collaborate with AR staff to drive effective collections and manage outstanding balances. Lead, coach, and develop a team of four accounting professionals. Maintain clear process documentation and standard operating procedures. Promote a collaborative and accountable team environment focused on continuous improvement. qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 1+ year of supervisory responsibilities within an Accounting department is required. Strong understanding of A/P, A/R, GL, payroll, and tax compliance. Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
