Treatment Coordination: Present complex dental treatment plans to patients, clearly explaining the "why" behind the clinical need and the "how" of the financial investment. Patient Advocacy: Act as the primary point of contact for patient questions regarding dental verbiage, procedure steps, and insurance benefits. Team Leadership: Manage the front and back-office staff to ensure the practice runs on time and maintains a high standard of patient care. Financial Management: Oversee insurance billing, collections, and third-party financing options (e.g., CareCredit) to ensure a high case acceptance rate. Required Experience & Skills Practice Management Expertise: Proven experience managing the operations of a dental or medical office. Dental Verbiage Mastery: You must be 100% comfortable with dental terminology (e.g., SRP vs. Prophy, Crowns vs. Fillings, Endodontics, etc.) and able to translate it into "plain English" for patients. Treatment Planning: Experience reviewing clinical charts and discussing multi-phase treatment plans with patients confidently. Schedule Optimization: Advanced skill in "writing" a schedule—knowing how to pivot when cancellations occur and how to balance high-production cases with routine care. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with major dental practice management software (Dentrix, EagleSoft, Open Dental, or similar).
