We are recruiting for a community-minded Accountant/Full Charge Bookkeeper to own their financial operations, compliance, and payroll. This is a uniquely blended, hands-on role. You will manage high-level accounting functions while actively embedding yourself in our school culture by sharing front-office coverage. Position Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on accounting or full charge bookkeeping experience. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online Domain Knowledge: Understanding of financial regulations, restricted funds, and compliance practices unique to non-profit organizations. Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, an analytical mindset, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, the Principal, and the Board. salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesCore Financials & Compliance Daily Accounting: Manage GL, cash, fixed assets, AR, and AP in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Close & Audit: Execute month/year-end close; prepare financial statements, tax filings, and documentation for annual audits. Internal Controls: Supervise cash handling, checks, and credit card processing; serve as liaison for banking, insurance, and auditors. Tuition, Revenue & Grants Tuition Billing: Invoice/collect for 55+ students via GradeLink; reconcile GradeLink to QuickBooks Online. Schedules & Scholarships: Apply scholarships and maintain monthly deferred tuition schedules. Grants: Track restricted grants, submit monthly reimbursement requests, and assist the Principal/Board with grant writing. Payroll, HR & Governance Payroll & HR: Process biweekly payroll, manage benefits, onboarding/offboarding, and open enrollment for 20+ staff. Budgeting & Board Reports: Build a balanced annual budget and pull accurate monthly QBO reports for Board review; attend meetings as requested. Administration & Operations Front Office: Shared desk coverage with the Office Manager on a staggered shift until 5:30 PM.
