We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This isn't just a "fix-it" job; we need a specialist who understands the heartbeat of a high-speed converting facility. You will be the primary guardian of our fleet of machines—including flexo folder gluers, die cutters, and slitter-scorers—ensuring our cardboard production remains fast, precise, and safe.salary: $66,560 - $83,200 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 5 AM - 1:30 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Keep the Gears Turning: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on high-speed converting equipment (Corrugators, Die Cutters, and Folder Gluers). Troubleshoot the Complex: Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. If a vacuum transfer belt loses suction or a rotary die is misaligned, you’re the first responder. Electrical Mastery: Work with PLCs (Allen Bradley/Siemens), sensors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) to keep the automation side running smoothly. Precision Calibration: Adjust knife gaps, scoring profiles, and folding rails to ensure every box meets exact specifications. Safety First: Maintain a strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) culture and ensure all machine guarding is in peak condition. Required Experience & Skills The "Converting" Edge: Minimum 3+ years of experience specifically within the corrugated or paper converting industry. Machine Fluency: Familiarity with brands like Bobst, Ward, United, or Marquip is highly preferred. The Toolbox: strong proficiency in welding, fabrication, and reading complex blueprints/schematics. Problem Solver: Ability to think on your feet during a "machine down" emergency to minimize scrap and downtime.
