job summary: Our client is in search of a Mechanical Engineer to be based in Orlando, FL. This role entails managing mechanical engineering project needs, system design, structural calculations, assessment of acceleration forces, load calculations, material stress analysis, overseeing system installation, providing check-out support, and offering start-up assistance. Relocation is avaible. location: Orlando, Florida job type: Permanent salary: $85,000 - 135,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Organizational skills, technical proficiency, and effective oral and written communication abilities.Experienced in collaborating within a multi-disciplinary environment and interfacing with engineers, designers, and drafters.Designs, develops, and implements fully integrated mechanical assembly systems to fulfill process requirements while adhering to local or government agency design/implementation codes.Proficiency in conducting Hazard analysis for system design development and mitigation.Understanding of Class 1 parts to minimize their necessity and optimize redundancy, thereby reducing single points of failure.Develops comprehensive documentation of system configuration and design, including theory of operation, detailed mechanical system descriptions, and implementation/acceptance test plans.Produces mechanical design drawings, assemblies, and installation procedures using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks software.Capable of designing and troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.Proficient in performing system analysis and calculations, such as stress, fatigue, reliability, life expectancy, and tolerance studies.Familiarity with ride system design requirements for attractions, encompassing guest accelerations, reach envelope, ingress/egress, weight considerations, and emergency evacuation strategies in worst-case scenarios.Assists in the initial start-up and debugging of integrated systems and contributes to the development of system documentation.Leads technically on projects and provides guidance to lower-level engineers, technicians, and contractors.Acts as Project Manager on smaller projects Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Preferred experience of 5+ years in the following areas: comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems and components, proficiency in stress analysis and acceleration forces assessment, and familiarity with amusement ride safety standards (ASTM Standards).
