job summary: A Laboratory Technician is needed for a company that manufactures, sells, and markets non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups in the Atlanta, GA area. This position is responsible for assisting product developers and scientist with beverage lab production and prototyping, and general lab upkeep as needed. location: Atlanta, Georgia job type: Contract salary: $16.42 - 18.13 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: High School responsibilities: Process incoming inventory of ingredients and supplies (e.g., receiving, logging, labeling, storing) to ensure that materials are traceable and properly stored.Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation (e.g., cleaning/sanitizing, troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, calibrating, and repairing).Maintain pilot plant equipment and instrumentation (e.g., cleaning/sanitizing, troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, calibrating, and repairing).Maintain laboratory GMP's, cleanliness, organization and stocking of required supplies, maintaining clean and glassware and laboratory countertops.Prepare syrups and beverages according to mixing instructions and guidance from product developers and scientists.Record data from analyses, calibrations, maintenance, cleaning (C.I.P) and experiments in a computer, log book or laboratory notebook.Identify, classify, maintain, and protect files, documentation and sensitive information consistent with record handling and retention requirements.Clean/sanitize, change valves, seals, gaskets, and perform other general maintenance on figals and dispensing equipment for carbonated beverage production. Skills: Must have prior experience as a Lab Technician.Good math and communication skills are essential.Ability to read, write and speak English is required.Must be experienced in or able to learn operation of simple lab equipment.
