job summary: A Civil Engineer Lead is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Pasadena, CA (can be hybrid) area. As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you will lead Site Surveys, assess existing conditions, collaborate with survey teams, support design efforts, and oversee civil and structural design activities for a critical government project focused on border security and radiological/nuclear materials detection. location: Pasadena, California job type: Contract salary: $32.88 - 68.56 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Conduct Site Surveys to assess existing conditions for design and construction.Gather critical information, including traffic volumes, permitting requirements, power supply details, background radiation levels, and more.Assess existing infrastructure, equipment, and stakeholder concerns.Collaborate with the engineering team through video conferences to determine additional data needs.Support the development of Site Survey reports and assist with design efforts, including responding to Requests for Information (RFI) during construction.Oversee civil and structural design activities, including the creation of drawings, site plans, foundations, bollard and trench locations, signage, and demolition plans.Prepare documentation for construction work schedules, security requirements, and stakeholder approvals.
