job summary: Randstad is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead and oversee the financial operations for a Las Vegas company. This individual will be responsible for supervising a team of six accounting professionals and managing daily financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience in hospitality finance, a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, and hands-on proficiency with Workday Financials. This role plays a key part in executing strategic financial goals, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Salary - $115K - $125K plus a 25% bonus location: Las Vegas, Nevada job type: Permanent salary: $115,000 - 125,000 per year work hours: 8 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 7 Years responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational leadership for financial functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger Accounting. Hire, train, evaluate, and develop a team of 6 accounting professionals to maximize performance and growth. Lead the month-end and year-end close process for all non-gaming revenue streams. Review and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy. Leverage Workday Financials to manage financial workflows, automate reporting, and improve forecasting accuracy. Collaborate with departmental leaders to monitor KPIs, implement cost-control initiatives, and drive financial accountability across non-gaming operations. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and SOX/internal controls requirements. Assist executive leadership with the development and execution of long-term strategic financial plans. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase financial efficiency, transparency, and operational effectiveness. qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA highly preferred. Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. Strong understanding of hospitality or resort accounting required. Proficiency in Workday Financials is required. In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
