job summary: Our client, a leading transportation organization, is seeking a Senior Business Program Manager - Payments to lead a strategic initiative to unify and modernize payment processing across all sales channels. This high-impact role will serve as the central business lead overseeing the consolidation of multiple payment gateways, integrating fraud prevention tools, streamlining settlement procedures, and enhancing customer experience. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in payment systems, credit card operations, and enterprise program management, with the ability to drive complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from planning through execution. location: Washington, Washington, D.C. job type: Contract salary: $70 - 80 per hour work hours: 9am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Lead the enterprise-wide effort to consolidate multiple payment gateways into a unified, modern platform. Manage integration of fraud prevention, authentication, authorization, and settlement across digital and in-person sales channels. Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external payment solution providers. Define and validate business requirements, review vendor contracts, and ensure deliverables meet organizational objectives. Collaborate with project managers to align scope, schedule, and resources across related workstreams. Ensure compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, and industry regulations including PCI-DSS. Drive change management, communication, and testing activities to support implementation and adoption. Partner with credit card networks, processors, and digital wallet providers to optimize operational performance and customer experience. Support reconciliation improvements and settlement accuracy through refined business processes.
