In this vital role, you will operate, maintain, and repair plant ammonia and nitrogen refrigeration systems, blast freezers, and associated HVAC equipment. Why Join the Team? Key Responsibilities: System Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all plant ammonia/nitrogen refrigeration systems and chilled water systems. Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to keep production running smoothly; repair specialized equipment using hand and specialty tools. Monitoring: Inspect equipment by sight and sound, read gauges, and maintain detailed logs to predict and prevent downtime. Safety & Compliance: strictly adhere to GMPs, safety protocols, and Good Maintenance Practices. maintain a clean and safe workspace. Collaboration: Work closely with the Team Coordinator and management to solve problems and support production goals. Requirements: Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of "hands-on" experience maintaining industrial ammonia refrigeration systems is required. Certifications: Level 1 Ammonia Certification is required. (Operator Level II is preferred). Technical Skills: strong background in electrical (up to 480V 3-phase), pipe fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and blueprint reading. Preferred Knowledge: Experience with nitrogen flash freezers, screw compressors, and industrial food freezing systems. Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) with specific technical training in refrigeration theory and maintenance. salary: $72,800 - $72,801 per yearshift: Secondwork hours: 4 PM - 12 AMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Applies all GMP requirements, both personal hygiene and housekeeping, associated with these tasks. Keeps work area clean at all times, in line with plant procedures on housekeeping, waste water, and solids management. Applies all product safety and quality requirements associated with the process at assigned positions. Identifies problems associated with assigned systems on an on-going basis through collection of data, tracking downtime, and personal inspection and determines if solution is within his/her training and knowledge Develops and maintains a good working relationship with Team Coordinator and other managers, team members, and other co-workers. Resolves problems and conflicts in an acceptable manner that shows respect for the other person(s). Cooperates and shows commitment to team goals and efforts; attends team meetings and participates in them to the best of his/her ability.
