Measure, cut, strip, and crimp wires using hand tools or machines to meet length and connector specifications. Route and bundle wires into cable harnesses using zip ties, lacing, sleeves, or tubing to keep cables organized and secure. Install terminals, connectors, and solder joints with accuracy and quality control standards in mind. Perform continuity testing and electrical inspections to verify proper connections and function. Label wires and harnesses with appropriate identification tags or markers. Document production steps and ensure compliance with company and industry standards (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620). Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all ESD (electrostatic discharge) and safety protocols. Collaborate with engineers and quality inspectors to troubleshoot and resolve non-conformities or defects. Use torque tools, wire wrapping machines, and microscopes as needed for precision work, especially in aerospace or medical device settings.
