The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining data center infrastructure, including a strong knowledge of power and cooling, PreAction and VESDA fire systems and SNMP management. The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our data center operations. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain PDU's including SNMP management.Monitor data center infrastructure for performance and reliability, and take proactive measures to address any issues or potential bottlenecks.Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as hardware upgrades, patch management, and firmware updates for UPS and CRAC unitsTroubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.Implement and maintain security best practices to protect data center assets from unauthorized access.Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration between data center infrastructure and other systems and services.Create and maintain documentation related to data center infrastructure, hardware inventories, and standard operating procedures.Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for data center operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.A minimum of 5 years experience in data center operations and infrastructure management.strong knowledge of HP and IBM server hardware, including rack-mount and blade servers, Arista, Cisco and NetApp hardware.Experience with networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols is a plusProficiency in operating systems such as Linux and Windows Server is a plusFamiliarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
