job summary: An Electrical/Instrumentation and Controls Engineer is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Pasadena, CA area. This role as an Electrical and I&C Engineer involves supporting the US Government's border safety and security mission by conducting site surveys, designing control systems, and collaborating on various facility systems, with a focus on modern network-based control systems and adherence to relevant standards within the Federal Solutions team. location: Pasadena, California job type: Contract salary: $50.48 - 55.29 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Contribute to the Federal Solutions team, supporting missions in defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.Promote a culture of excellence and close-knit teamwork.Conduct site surveys to evaluate current site conditions for new design and construction.Lead or participate in survey teams visiting US Land, Air, and Sea Ports of entry.Provide complete control system designs for sites, including layout, specifications, equipment/instrument indices, datasheets, and control and cabinet drawings.Coordinate the design process between survey teams and establish standard designs for various sites.Design and oversee various facility systems, including Radiation Portal Monitors, Traffic Control Systems, Building Automation Systems, Security and Camera Systems, Communication Systems, and more.Utilize modern network-based control systems and backend control system components.
