This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of federal and state tax compliance, ASC 740 reporting, tax planning, audit support, and team development. Oversee the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 and FIN 48, including effective tax rate analysis, financial reporting, and disclosures. Manage and support federal and state income, franchise, and sales/use tax audits; develop strategies to address and resolve proposed audit adjustments. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the tax team to evaluate the impact of new and proposed tax legislation, rulings, and regulatory changes. Provide strategic tax planning and structuring guidance to support business growth, M&A activity, and other key transactions. Monitor and manage property tax assessments and payments. Identify and implement opportunities to reduce the Company's effective tax rate and optimize cash tax liabilities. Maintain and improve tax compliance and provision processes in coordination with internal audit to ensure SOX 404 compliance. Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior leadership on all matters related to taxation. qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA a plus. CPA strongly preferred. 7+ years of tax experience in a public company environment and/or public accounting. Strong knowledge of ASC 740, FIN 48, SOX 404 controls, and federal/state tax regulations. Proven track record in managing complex tax audits and interacting with taxing authorities.
