We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Drill Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. If you have a knack for precision, enjoy hands-on machining work, and want to work with unique, high-performance materials, we want to hear from you!salary: $16.5 - $17 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Drill Press Assistance: Machine Support: Assist primary operators in setting up drill presses, ensuring the correct drill bits and speeds are utilized for specific plastic or elastomer materials. Material Handling: Securely position, clamp, and hold raw materials or components on the drill press table for processing. Post-Processing: Remove finished workpieces from the machinery, deburr rough edges, and trim excess plastic or rubber material to ensure clean finishes. Quality Control: Visually inspect drilled parts against technical drawings or project specifications to catch any defects early. General Laborer: Material Movement: Safely load, unload, and stage raw materials and finished products throughout the warehouse and production floor using hand trucks or material handling equipment. Shop Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping plastic shavings, clearing debris, emptying scrap bins, and wiping down machinery. Tool & Equipment Care: Assist in organizing, cleaning, and lubricating tools, drill bits, and equipment components to maintain optimal performance. Team Support: Collaboratively assist skilled operators, CNC machinists, and molders with various heavy lifting and manual tasks as needed.
