Summary/Objective The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of our company. This role includes recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and possesses an understanding of fundamental bookkeeping and accounting principles.Essential Functions Record Transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, into the accounting system Accounts Payable (AP): Process and manage all vendor bills and payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements. Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage customer invoicing, record deposits, and monitor outstanding customer balances (collections). Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Compliance: Maintain an organized and accurate filing system for financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Required Education and Experience Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Experience: 5 years of proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
