The Accounting Manager will assist the Director Corporate Accounting with month end close process, approval of check runs, JEs, month end accrual analysis / sign off, interim and year end audit, miscellaneous finance improvement projects (e.g. system improvement, financial policy development, staff training, etc.) location: Palm Beach Gardens, Florida job type: Permanent salary: $85,000 - 95,000 per year work hours: 8 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 5 Years responsibilities: Responsible overseeing all trust accounting functions and financial reporting including: Trust Accounting: Revenue recognition monitoring, payroll accounting Financial reporting: Responsible for producing draft financial statements across all companies on a monthly and annual basis. Bank reconciliations, assist and support external audit, possibly some trickled in tax accounting work to support Revenue and Tax Manager Responsible for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MBC) workflows and general administration / security levels Develop and implement goals, policies, and procedures related to the accounting department. Survey all department functions to determine the adequacy of the system of control to achieve established objectives and make modifications where necessary. Responsible for preparation of draft financial statement disclosures at year end. Responsible for review of the audit programs, ensure compliance, and participate in investigations when warranted. Responsible for draft monthly and yearly accounting period closing including assurance of accurate and timely results. Facilitation, motivation, and development of the accounting team into a closely and cohesively working unit to achieve optimal productivity. Direct the compilation and issuance of accounting statistics and reports. Assist with efforts to develop policies and procedures that streamline accounting operations processes. Develop proper internal controls, auditing techniques and reporting to serve the informational needs of the company. Establish, maintain, and mentor a revenue accounting team to monitor sales, reissues, exchange, refunds, and transactions. Establish and maintain revenue accounting principles, practices & procedures to ensure compliance. qualifications: Advanced financial accounting knowledge. BSc in Accounting / Business Administration CPA or CPA Candidates required Must have worked as a Senior Accountant realm of a Professional Services organization for at least 3 years. 5 Years general accounting experience required.
