Shift: M - F, 7:30am – 5pm Pay: $20-$24/hr based on experience. Location: Boston, MA What you will be doing: Scheduling, confirming, canceling, rescheduling appointments, and registering patients. Managing patient medical records, and pulling up any test, lab and radiology results or reports prior to appointment. Receiving patients upon arrival, verifying and obtaining all necessary information, and ensuring forms are completed. Ensuring all billing/fiscal information is completed and submitted after visit, including collection and daily reconciliation of any co-payments. Utilizing knowledge of HMO’s, managed care and other third party insurers, and troubleshooting insurance issues as appropriate. salary: $20 - $24 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: High` SchoolResponsibilitiesThe right candidate will have: 1+ year applicable work experience (healthcare/patient care) Clerical experience: filing, copying, scanning, printing, faxing, and ability to handle complex calls (answering and screening calls, putting on hold). Great communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels, customer service oriented and computer skills (Epic software, MS applications is a plus). Intermediate understanding of the appropriate use and importance of related forms, medical terminology, insurance types and referral processes, registration and fiscal information. Knowledgeable of HIPAA guidelines for the management of patient privacy and confidentiality, and with all hospital, State and Federal requirements (where applicable to job performance), including policy and procedures with The Joint Commission and HIPAA.
