job summary: As a Guidewire Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of applications on the Guidewire Insurance Suite, with a focus on PolicyCenter Cloud. This mid-level role supports the modernization of the organizations Umbrella Policy platform and contributes. You'll work collaboratively across engineering teams, participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and help ensure delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative solutions. location: Phoenix, Arizona job type: Contract salary: $100 - 200 per hour work hours: 9am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and implement complex technical solutions using Guidewire. Support the full SDLC-from requirements gathering through deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and technical challenges. Conduct systems analysis and recommend process improvements. Define and implement system specifications and standards. Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews. Identify and mitigate risks associated with technical and business activities. qualifications: Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of related experience (in lieu of a degree). Accepted alternatives: CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT certifications. 4+ years of software development experience with strong technical understanding. 2+ years of experience delivering technology solutions across the full SDLC. Working knowledge of one or more: Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL. Familiarity with cloud technologies and tools. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Understanding of business operations, risk management, and industry trends. skills: Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Guidewire Cloud platform (PolicyCenter). Guidewire PolicyCenter Associate Certification (v10.x). Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations from inception to go-live. Familiarity with: Kafka, Spring, Redis, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
